Reviews

We had a small group/family mountain biking adventure on mother’s day. It was fantastic!! We loved every minute of it. There were opportunities for the more skilled in our group to do more technical parts. The trail was beautiful and the lunch afterwards was absolutely healthy delicious (and I am a quite finicky eater). I would highly recommend this as a fun 1/2 day activity to be outside, get some exercise and enjoy an adventure. I have been mountain biking for about 30 years, but my 18 year old daughter goes only infrequently. We ALL had a blast.

UPCOUNTRY did an amazing job taking a group of our middle and high school students out for some trails riding. UPCOUNTRY provided equipment, went over safety, and maintained a really fun and engaging pace for our students. I can’t recommend UPCOUNTRY enough if you are thinking about taking kids on a biking trip!

My daughter had an absolutely amazing experience with UPCOUNTRY. She got to try both snorkeling and mountain biking for the first time and she loved it. It sparked in her the desire to do more outdoor activities. I’m grateful for the time that she got to spend with UPCOUNTRY and I’m also grateful for all of the hard work and dedication of the UPCOUNTRY staff for providing a fun and exciting experience.

FAQs

How challenging are the trails?

Difficulty varies. Some want more of a challenge; others, less. Please review the specific trip’s details to best choose the right experience. If questions remain, our team is happy chat about it. Connect with us.

What about rain?

We do the best we can to avoid it; both for comfort and trail preservation. If our team cancels at trip due to inclement weather, a full refund or reschedule will be offered. However, it happens. If the skies open up while we’re out, we play.

What do I bring?

For the trail:

  • Helmet
  • Close-toed shoes
  • Cycling specific clothing or athletic clothing

For the water:

  • Swimsuit
  • Change of clothes
  • Towel
Are refunds offered?

Please see our cancellation policy.

What’s the age limit?

10 years old for mountain biking. 13 years old for spearfishing.

Is spearfishing Dangerous?

Well. . .yes. So is cooking with hot grease and using sharp knives to cut food.

Risk is mitigated with exposure gear to help keep participants comfortable and safe. Additionally, we use a one-up/one-down dive rhythm so divers are always visible by our team.

Finally, we monitor dive reports daily and do not offer this trip if conditions are unsafe.

I don’t do these activities. Are they hard to learn?

With a positive attitude, confidence, and teachable spirit, you are not only going to learn how, but you’ll enjoy it. So much so, you and the family may take on a new hobby.
